Who Is This Book For?

This book is for those looking to take an in-depth analysis of Stoicism and learn about the practicality of philosophy.

It also works well with Professor Pigliucci’s other books like How to be a Stoic.

Handbook for New Stoics

This is not a book you can skip around from chapter to chapter. Many of the exercises are built on some of the exercises from previous chapters.

In the first couple of chapters, you take a deep dive into those things that have affected or are affecting your life right now and understand that you have little or no control over them. Then part of the exercise is to look at what you have control over or what you can affect to make this a healthy outcome.
